Threshold – Film

Threshold is a dance/art film collaboration between choreographer Rosy Simas and photographer Douglas Beasley. Threshold explores bringing the invisible world into the visible through intersecting of movement and natural landscape.
Threshold, was also a live dance piece presented first as a work in progress in Its Strange To Be Here The Mystery Never Leaves You on July 23-25, 2010 at the Bedlam Theater in Minneapolis. It was performed by Lindsay Anderson, Erin Drummond, Dustin Haug, Denise Gagner, Blake Nellis, Sharon Picasso & Rosy Simas.
The completed iteration of Threshold premiered in Rosy Simas Danse – New Works, September 14th-15th, 2012 at he Southern Theater in Minneapolis and was performed by Lindsay Anderson, Erin Drummond, Denise Gagner, Jesse Neumann Peterson & Rosy Simas with original sound design by Andrew C. Mayer.
Threshold was chosen for the 2016 MNTV season which will be broadcast state-wide and streamed online by TPT in the Spring of 2016 and installed in the Best Buy Film/Video Bay at the Walker Art Center. http://ifpmn.org/2016/01/06/announcing-the-mntv-2016-programs/

Threshold was funded, in part, by the Minnesota State Arts Board through the arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
